Dear Dr Seow,
Encountered these two different butterflies for the first time in Sg Sedim, Kedah on June 19, 2023. Sorry the photos blur and butterflies are a bit tattered. But is it possible to id the species or genus? Thanks so much.

No. 1 Euthalia merta.male.

There are three species in which the male is brown & without without blue or green band or white hyaline spots on the FW.

Euthalia merta have the submarginal spots (abbreviated arrowheads) pointed outwards.
On the HW the arrowpoints are more blunt.

No. 2 Much worn & difficult to judge the markings.
The closest resemblance is a male E. eriphylae.
