There are both Jamides celeno.

J. celeno Upperside male with a broad black border.
UnH white striae arrangement very variable.
Black spot with the silvery bars irregular or absent.

Of the other two similer spp. recorded in Singapore.

Jamides pura ?extinct.
Upperside male with a thin black border.
UnH white striae always seem to be well arranged.
Black spot with prominent silvery side-bars.

Jamides malaccanus.
Male upperside brilliant blue.
UnH white striae all of equal length & reaching the upper margin ,forming 3 complete bands.

A single pic taken by Federick years ago suggest strongly that J. pura is extant in Singapore.

This female have FW submarginal spots lunulate, spot large.
The silvery side bars on the HW black spot is less prominent but this is a variable feature.

Compare with a typical Singaporean female J. celeno .
