Welcome to the great butterfly discussion group Tshulthrim.

Thanks are due to Mr Khew S K for helping us out.

Wish you a fruitful discussion in the group.

Dr. Seow will help us as he has always been doing

My guess is this could be Potanthus confucius.... but Dr. Seow will have a final say

This is remarkable.

You have a perfect example of Potanthus nesta nesta male, something which I am looking for.

Potanthus nesta nesta.
FW band continuous without dark veins, from the subapical (spot 8) downwards.
HW upper part of band (combination spot 4 & 5)not projected out, so the band's border is level & nearly straight.
Abdominal end with just a narrow black band.
The underside may be light or heavily marked.
This one matches the underside of specimen no. 4 from Chiang Mai in the link.

Two other species are very similar in having a FW band which is continuous without dark veins.

Potanthus confucius dushta.
FW similar to P. nesta.
HW band upper part (spots 4 + 5) projected outwards slightly so there is a 'step' /notch on the inner margin.
Abdominal end yellow with just a thin black line.

Potanthus pava pava.
FW with a continuous band as in P. nesta.
Male often with a patch of yellow at the base of space 2 (similar to Telicota colon & besta )
HW with a prominent spot 6; upper part projected outwards as in .P confucius.
Underside band edged in black streaks, not spots as in [I]nesta or confucius.
Abdominal end largely yellow, may have a thin black band.

Probable underside . Note dark streaks forming the edging of the spots & large spot 6.
