View Full Version : A distinctive but unidentified skipper from Borneo

I am posting this for a friend who does not have access to Butterfly Circle.

This is a skipper photographed in Borneo, which has been loaded to iNaturalist but after several months remains a mystery.
Given how distinctive this skipper appears, we thought maybe someone on this group could comment.

I am the participant in the discussion.
I am afraid there is no match for Halpe either.
The Halpe species with a white dot on the antenna are quite distinctive.

Found the ID.
It matches the description perfectly.
The striking feature is the broadly yellow HW cilia.

Isma cinnamomea. Bornean endemic.


Note the antennal white area is similar to this female I. umbrosa.
