View Full Version : Nacaduba calauria - confirmation of ID

Photographed at Krung Ching, Nakhon Sri Thammarat, s. Thailand.
These images - same individual left and right sides - look quite different to other Nacaduba species I have photographed in Thailand. The generally strong contrast and the dark and well differentiated marginal and sub-marginal spots make me think this is Nacaduba calauria.

Would that be correct please?

Nacaduba beroe . Female.
Male Dark straie poor or obsolete.
FW costal spot above innermost band absent (both sexes).

N. kurava[ Dark striae poor in the male ;Costal spot present.
FW submarginal spots with rounded margins.

N. calauria ;Dark striae well-developed.
FW band straight; only submarginal spots 4 & 5 sharp-pointed.
