Greetings from Sounth India Dr. Seow.

Our good friend Mrs. Anila Manalil from Kerala South India would appreciate it very much if you could help her identify these specimens.

Her guess is also given, but you may give your opinion independently. (She and I may be wrong. We don't have that much experience)

01. Would this be Nacaduba Caluria?

If there are no other 6line blues in south India other than the four, namely berenice, calauria. beroe & kurava then it becomes relatively easy.

The 6line blue in SE Asia are a bit different from that in India especially N. calauria.

1. N. beroe ;Male dark striae within the white striae disintergraded /obsolete.;costal spot above the innermost band always absent. Female with dark striae normal.
Male Thailand ,Female Singapore.

http://www.butterflycircle.com/checklist/mugshots/Nacaduba%20beroe%20neon/Sunny-Chir---EOS-1D-Mark-III--13_08_2011--0115_1-copy-4.jpg

2/ N. kurava. Male with dark striae weak , female normal ;Submarginal spots with rounded margins ;FW postdiscal band usually straight.
Male left, female right Taiwan.
https://farm5.static.flickr.com/4247/34972070862_d3fe83fdc5_b.jpg

3. N. berenice : Dark straie strong in both sexes ; submarginal spots irregular in the male less so in the female;FW postdiscal band often irregular.
Singapore male & female.

https://live.staticflickr.com/1740/42819678991_fbb82f00d2_b.jpg

N. calauria ;Dark striae strong strong in both sexes ;Submarginal spots 4 & 5 sharply pointed; postdiscal bnad nearly always straight.
Male left ,female right ,Singapore.
http://www.butterflycircle.com/checklist/mugshots/Nacaduba%20berenice%20icena/Rounded%206%20Line%20Blue%20-%20Henry%20Koh.jpg

The N. calauria in India is different.
FW submarginal spots 2, 3, 4, & 5 strongly chevron & sharply pointed; FW postdiscal band crooked in the middle.
https://www.ifoundbutterflies.org/media_images/2016/164_11179-438-56d6e288755ea-1.jpg

Confusingly the male N. berenice in India looks rather like N. calauria in SE Asia, except the FW band is irregular.
https://www.ifoundbutterflies.org/media_images/2016/164_11180-710-56d6e2b069506-1.jpg

N. berenice with upperside confirmation pale blue with frosted appearance (like sprinkled powder.)

https://www.ifoundbutterflies.org/media_images/NacadubaBeroe/NacadubaBeroe_GauravAgavekar_ag351.jpg

vs dark violet blue in N. calauria male (Singapore).
https://wanderingbutterflyeffect.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/6a0100a801ee89000e011017b3ad98860e.jpg

Thus.

1. N. berenice male.

2, N. beroe; dark striae obsolete; costal spot above innermost band missing.

3. N. calauria FW submarginal spots 2, 3, 4, & 5 chevrons & sharp.

4. N. kurava ;FW submarginal spots large & with rounded margins; dark striae weak.

5, & 6 .N. calauria.

7. should be N. calauria.
