Help please to ID this lycanid

Two individuals of the same species photographed near Tak (lowland, nc Thailand). I am surprised to be at a loss to ID this. Most closely resembles Catochrysops strabo, but no tail, and not quite right in several respects.
I would have expected this to be something common, but I am struggling to match it to anything exactly.
Suggestions please.
