View Full Version : Is this Telicota ohara?

Images from Khao Ang Rue Nai, se Thailand. I am very sure this is not T. colon (as does not look like my other images of that), but I can find no consistent differences in images between many of the other Telicota species. I think this must be T. ohara, but cannot really rule out besta or linna on my current knowledge.

Telicota bambusae.
Small species with short FWs FW 15mm. ; band appearing relatively broad.
FW brand set in the middle of black space.

Telicota ohara jix; large species with longer FW 19-20mm. band appearing relatively narrow.
Brand very naroow & set closer to the posterior margin of black space.
Underside dusky with HW band inner margin nearly straight ie notch very shallow.)
