Photographed at Wiang Kosai NP, northern Thailand. I find images of Halpe flava and wantona very similar. I think this is probably H. wantona - but......

Halpe pelethronix should be able to be ruled out as there are no collected specimens from northern Thailand - only the far south.

Probably Halpe veluvana.

H. flava Has a definite band.
This one has an upper cellspot .
So the possibility are H. veluvana, wantona, pelethronix.
H. veluvana is ochreous , the other 2 brown.

Probable H. veluvana Fraser's Hill.

There is a large degree of uncertainty here.
Have a look of the field shots of H. veluvana in Yutaka' webpage on H. veluvana at the bottom.

I think you are right this is H. wantona.

This image below ID'ed as H. pelethronix/wantona (probalby by me in the past) is definitely not H. veluvana.

The FW is raised high enough to show spot 2 (part of) & spot 3. They are pale buff & do not overlap.
In H. veluvana they are yellow & overlap widely.
This rules out H. veluvana immediately.
This image is also identical to yours.

H.plethronix is also not found in the north where H. wantona is found, ie India to Indochina.

Putting the two together it is very likely that this is H. wantona & the other in Fraser's Hill ie the one below is H. pelethronix.
