Posted by Mr Pang Kam Hon and taken in the Gasing Forest in KL. Another member of our group suggests that it could be Ypthima nebulosa. Need your expert opinion to resolve this. Thanks.

This actually matched Elliot's description of Y. nebulosa from Sumatra.
Elliot states: HW fascia (band) obscure ;HW spot 3 often smaller than spot 2.

Compare Y. horsfieldii humei.

Y. baldus newboldi.

There is a lot of confusion what Y. nebulosa is actually .
Pisuth state Y.nebulosa in Thailand is the same as Y. horsfieldi here, but the author of. Y. nebulosa ,Aoki & Uemura did not say so.
They did say examination of the type specimen of the taxon humei indicate it is a form of newboldi.

Here is Aoki & Uemura's Y. nebulosa , page 33 Fig 6 no 10 & 11.

Try to get more pix to see whether the markings are consistent.

TL Seow: Cheers.
