Ancistroides nigrita :Rounded wings; browner with the outer marginal area paler.

3 & 4
Potanthus ganda.
HW veins across band not darkened (both sides) Abdominal end yellow.
Female.

P. trachala: FW spots spiky; spots 4 & 5 not overlapping the spots above & below, but joined by the spikes; abdominal end strongly black-banded.

P. serina :Large; FW spot 5 smaller than spot 4; abdominal end black-banded.

5. Cephrenes acalle ;Veins black; spots edged by triangular black spots.

6. Borbo cinnara.
HW without a cellspot; usally 3 spots (spots 2, 3, & 6) but 4 to 5 spots may occur.
Note face & chest strongly whitish.

7. Suastus gremius is readily recognised by its white-rimmed spots.

8. Potanthus serina male ;FW spot 5 smaller(about 1/2) than spot 4; abdominal end black-banded.

Hi Dr Seow,

Thanks for the detailed explanations. Just wanted to check in on the Ganda Dart cos it looks to me like there's a darkened vein on the underside. Or perhaps I'm focusing on the wrong detail... ;P

The features are not absolute . There are a lot of variation in each species.
One dark vein does not matter.
Most examples of P. ganda have a bit of dark dusting of the veins but not to the extent seen in P. omaha
