Am having a hard time with this one. From Chiang Dao, at an altitude of around 800 metres.
Notable tiny in the field. Much smaller than other Potanthus in the area.
My closest estimate is Potanthus confucius dushta but very unsure.
Many thanks

This should be male Potanthus nesta.
Salient points
1. small size ,2. FW band continuous , slight overlap, margins straight, 3 HW band not projected out strongly in upper part, 4. Underside lightly shaded .

This is similar to the Potanthus in this blog.

This can be ID'ed as P. nesta on the following reasons.
The list of known species is stated in the text.
The following can be eliminated thus.
1. Abdominal ends yellow ,without a black band, P. omaha, ganda, confucius, & pava.
2. Species with distinctively different fascia ,or markings ,P. trachala, pallida, serina, palnia, juno, lydia , tibetana & rectifasciata.
3. Male with a brand at FW mid vein 1b. P. mara .mingo.

Note small size FW 12 mm.

Evans' description of P. nesta.
Male without a trace of a brand, markings yellow, FW - 12 mm.
Apical spots usually conjoined to band ; HW band usually continue into space 6 & spot in space 7 conspicuous.
Underside HW variable; band may or may not contrast with the ground & is usually edged with black spots.
