Photographed on Doi Inthanon, n. Thailand, last week. Would I be correct in saying this is Potanthus palnia?
Thanks

It is not P. palnia which have the following features.
FW spot 5 smaller than spot 4; Underside dark-shaded giving a greenish aspect, without dark spots; Abdominal end heavily black banded.

It is either P. ganda or P. mingo & looks to be the latter.

P. ganda lHW veins not darkened; dark shading without spots; abdominal yellow in the male, the female with some dark shading; more orangey.

P. mingo. HW veins not dark ;abdominal end black banded in both sexes; Underside HW band outer margins concave in space 1b, 2, & 3. May be heavily dark shaded & spotted; more yellow.

The black banded abdominal end suggest P. mingo.
The concave margins on the HW band may not that obvious.

TL Seow: Cheers.
