Miletus ancon - confirmation of ID

Photographed at Wiang Kosai NP, n Thailand. I originally had this identified as M. croton, but am wondering, due to the very strong black/white bands on the underside of the upperwing, if this is actually M. ancon. In my other images of M. croton the black band on the under hindwing is less black and more continuous in an arc.

You are right it is ancon.
The underside FW white band is broadly bordered with black & the HW dark spots are discontinuous.

The taxon siamensis was treated by Eliot as a possible ssp. of M. archilochus.
In typical M. archilochus the male is brown & the female with some sullied white marks on the FW.
In siamensis there is a varying amount of white marks decreasing westward.

Yutaka has put siamensis back as a ssp. of ancon.

Probably correct as a form of ssp. siamensis. FW white markings reduced compared to ancon ;Underside HW as for ancon.
