View Full Version : Sebastonyma dolopia or Sebastonyma pudens?

I would have expected, from the location, that this should be Sebastonyma pudens. However, checking other images on the web, the amount of white on the under hindwing appears too great, and this more resembles Sebastonyma dolopia, which is a rare species in Thailand. Would be grateful for comments on the variability of S. pudens.
Unfortunately only one image obtained, so not ideal.

Update: I think this may now actually be Halpe porus.

Yes, it is Halpe porus.

Among the Halpe species with a HW band, this is ID'ed by the whitish band which is sharply defined with the veins dark; the upperside FW have two cellspots.
