1 Jamides alecto.Correction Jamides elpis.
2. Jamides elpis.

Numerous mis-IDs on the web makes it confusing.

Jamides alecto/elpis ;FW postdiscal band broken ;HW innermost band broken.

Jamides alecto .White striae thick . most thicker than marginal white bar lining the black spot 2; orange crown often fused with the short white stria to the inside of it.

This link shows J. elpis , not J. alecto . Upperside HW in J. alecto have marginal black spots.

The situation in India is more complicated for M. mineus & intermedia.
M. mineus from South India may have white striae partially broadened or with increased shading; deep indentation; large FW spot 2.
Since M. intermedia is not recorded in the south it can be discounted.
M. mineus

However, 5 & 9 look correct for M. mineus.

M. intermedia is common in Thailand.

Thanks a lot sir...
Things becomes much clear now...I am sure intermedia is not too a rare species...but perhaps we are ignoring it by overlooking it either as a visala or mineus...will surely keep your suggestions and keys in mind whenever I go to field again!!
