1. Parnara apostata ;HW with white spots 2, 3, 4, 5, & a darker spot 6.

2.Caltorisspecies unknown possibly C. confusa or sirius.

3. Baoris chapmani ;Dark with much reduced spots.

5. Pelopidas agna;HW with upper cellspot; Un colour evenly yellow brown without smudging or grey shading.

6. Probably Caltoris cahira; HW Un with some uneven dark chocolate shadings ;FW with upper cellspot.(some northern races may not be dark brown on HW.)

9. Caltoris brunnea; FW with an upper cellspot seen; HW deep purple-brown.

10 .Arnetta vindhiana
Matching upperside spots ;Underside variable.; face with a dark dividing stripe.

11.Probably Potanthus nesta.
Underside FW with spots 4 & 5 overlapping above & below suggesting P. confucius but upperside with FW veins darkened.
Underside with dark spotting .

Somewhat similar to P. ganda but in ganda, FW spot 5 do not overlaps spot 6 ;Upperside FW veins only lightly darkened.

Thnx Seow sir...but in India, Arnetta vindhiana is native to south india only...the one i hv photographed here is from meghalaya...thanks a lot for all your help...

Quite right here. There is no correct match here. for 10. The FW spots are yellow whereas in Arnetta they are white, There is no exact match for the underside either.
There is no other species to match though P. pandita comes close.

New species of Thoressa ( + Pedesta ) are recorded in the Chinese areas eg. Sichuan, Yunnan but no match seen.

It could possibly be something new.
