Mycalesis perseoides.

1. Broad white striae.
2. HW HW inner margins of eyespots form an irregular (spikey) line indenting away from the white band.
3. HW dark line forms a tooth at vein 1b.
4. FW cell often with dark striae.

Mycalesis visala.
1. Broad white striae,
2. HW inner margins of eyespots form a less irregular line.
3. HW dark line does not form a tooth although it may be a slight L at vein 1b.
4. FW cell rarely with dark striae.

Post 3.

1. Mycalesis mineus.

a. Peripheral white striae (ie marginal & submarginal) not much broadened, & do not merge with the other white striae around the eyespots.
b. HW inner margins of eyespots indent deeply in upper third often triangular in shape.
c. HW lower 4 eyespots almost in a straight line.
d. HW dark line without a 'tooth'.
