Yes, this has to be a male Parnara apostata. It is only the upperside which is very dark.
HW with a spot 6 & spots 2, 3, 4 & 5 in a regular row increasing in size downwards.

It matches the female from Raub correctly.

It is very similar to P. guttata in the north & was first considered a ssp of P. guttata.
P. guttata; HW without a spot 6; FW usually with 1-2 cellspots; note HW spot size variable.

1. the HW spots are buff or off-white in P. bada & ganga.
