Dear Dr Seow, please help with the ID for this Arhopala, thanks!
Looks like Arhopala alitaeus pardenas?

Yes, it is a typical Arhopala alitaeus pardenas.

The long palpi & the abdominal end indicate a female.

In the past this has been confused with A. pseudomuta when the pix is dark cntrasted.

A. alitaeus pardenas. Markings strongly contrasted, spots more rounded; HW postdiscal spot 6 particularly large & rounded.
HW submarginal band macular ie. more like individual dome or conical spots.

Arhopala pseudomuta: markings less contrasted; spots less rounded, HW spot 6 often trapezoid.
HW submarginal band not macular ie the inner margins straightened , so it is a distinct band.

This male taken by Federick UPR 2014 has a dark contrasted underside like A. pseudomuta ariavana in Langkawi.

Post 3. A athada male.

A silhetensis is a large species & the space between the bands & spots very wide, eg. space between HW spot 5 & cellend bar wider than spot 6 above . Spot 7 is sinuous & often S-shaped.
