Shot this male Arhopala today. Looks like Arhopala silhetensis to me, but there is a missing spot in the FW postdiscal band. 23989

It is A silhetensis. Spot 3 is missing.
The related A. zambra more often have this spot vestigial.

TL Seow:Cheers.

Thanks, Dr Seow for the ID confirmation. :)

Khew, so we definitely encountered at least 3 Arhopala species today, namely A. abseus, A. siihetensis and a 3rd one (smaller than A. siihetensis) which I think is A. sublustris.

Thanks, Horace. Yes indeed. Upon checking my shots, the markings of another species appears to be different from the one that we shot, besides the size. Looks like we'll need to get specimens to validate. :)

Khew, from what I could recall, you should have a specimen of Arhopala sublustris in your voucher collection. May be you can check whether the features on this specimen matching the features of those pictures taken of the 3rd species yesterday.
