No matter how I try, I find it difficult to pin point the true IDs of the Euremas. A lot of the under wing patterns of dots do not conform to the norm. I would ID this as Eurema hecabe; taken in Subang Jaya, Selangor. But need confirmation. Thank you in advance for the assistance.

Yes, I would say it is Eurema hecabe.

On reflection, all your previous Eurema with tentative ID of E. lacteola are all E. hecabe.

The big problem is wingshape distortion & colour rendering in photos.
All your pix are greenish yellow ,so this colour can not be used to ID E. lacteola.

E. hecabe is very variable . typically FW cell with two spots but reduced black markings may cause one or both cellspots to be absent.
The HW is squarish but in photos is often distorted.
The best option is that the HW spot 7 at the costa is a blot.
In E. ada , andersoni & lacteola it is usually a sinuous streak.

E. hecabe.

E. lacteola.
There are no fieldshot of this.
This one taken in Cambodia is E. hecabe.
E. lacteola does not occur in Cambodia, only in Sundaland.

Thanks Dr Seow...these Euremas tend to be so variable. Within the Eurema hecabe...some don't have the spots at all. I usually go by the dark marginal border of the wings. But then that is not always a certainty. Thanks again! Meanwhile, I'll just leave the Euremas alone for the moment!
