Telicota besta male.

Photos cause perspective distortions which made ID difficult.

Telicota besta male ; brand narrow ,touches the triagular spot on the inner margin of the black space.
On the outer margin it misses spot 2 & 3 ,there being a black gap.
The overlap between spot 3 & 4 is usually small (this is variable).
HW veins lightly dark dusted (here enhanced by the shine-thru effect).
HW ground colour more ochreous .

Telicota augias male strongly orange; Brand broad reaching inner margin of black space , & spot 3 on the outer margin.
Spot 3 & 4 with wide overlap.
HW band poorly contrasted , veins not dark dusted.

Thanks Dr Seow.

What about this one. Is it T.augias? Could not get an open-wing shot.

This looks good for a T. augias male.
The HW veins are not dark dusted except for the wer one which looks like due to wear.
It is quite similat to this which have upperside confirmation.

Telicota linna male.

These Telicotas can drive one crazy and there are only a few species in Singapore.
THis one is terribly worn with almost complete loss of cilia & so some veins may appeared dark because of scale loss.
Note veins within band , the upper two barely have dark scales.

Telicota linna Upperside brand fairly straight ; base of space 2 without a patch of triangular orange.

https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EiOiXlm5t5I/VGIoJLnBqxI/AAAAAAAARJQ/Afrpu8rF-rE/s1600/DSC_0002.JPG

Underside HW with all the veins not dark -dusted.
Note shadow lines may cause the veins to be prominent & darkened, the key is 'not dark dusted.
Below is a good example.
Note the veins : veins is exactly along the lower fold , foollowed by vein 2, 3, 4. Vein is poorly developed & cut across the uppermost 'spot of the band . It may not be seen in lower resolution.
Vein 6 is the upper margin of the band, followed by vein 7 & 8.

The three below also have upperside confirmation.

Telicota besta. Upperside with an orange patch at the base of space 2.
]Underside HW with all the veins lightly dark-dusted except the weakly developed vein 5[/B].

Below are three examples two fresh & one not so fresh.
Note all the veins except vein 5 have bits of black scaies along them including the two vein 7 & 8 which are outside the band at the top part.

It is Telicota besta male.

The underside suggest T. linna since the veins are barely dark dusted.
This dark dusting of the veins appeared to be an inconsistent feature of T. besta.

There is a strong triangular orange patch at the base of space 2 which immediately exclude T. linna.
The same orange triangular patch can also be seen on the underside of the FW.

Upperside brand as for T. besta.

T. besta.

It is probably T. besta.

The lower abdomen looks paler but that's due to stretching in a freshly eclosed individual
The HW veins 7 & 8 are just lightly darkened.

Tl Seow ; Cheers.
