Limited view shots of skippers are very difficult to ID.
However, by limiting to only the species found in Bangladesh's checklist it becomes a lot easier.

1 Telicota bambusae. Base of space 3 black; FW band broad.

2.Telicota besta. Un. base of space 3 shaded orange. HW band margins straight.

3. Halpe porus. FW with 2 cellspots linked ;spots 2 & 3 with little overlap.

4. Telicota bambusae. Un HW band the veins not darkened.

Sir, can you please tell me the differences between Telicota linna, Telicota besta, Telicota bambusae and Telicota colon! They are very confusing!

Telicota colon.

Male upperside with spots with long veistripes (the 'tails ); base of space 2 with a patch of orange.
Underside FW spots staggered ie each one is further out.

Female FW spots less staggered .Note below FW spots 4 & 5 distorted, the upper spot 5 with a horizontal split.
HW veins across band darkdusted.

Telicota besta.
Male upperside brand near inside margin of black space.
Triangular orange patch at base of space 2 ; this can also be seen on the underside.
Unerside HW with the veins lightly dark-dusted.

Note underside FW with orange shading at base of space 2.

Female underside greenish ochreous (green hard to see) all veins lightly dark-dusted.

Often confused & mistaken for Telicota bambusae.

Telicota linna & bambusae are very similar.

Telicota linna Large species FW 18-19 mm.
Male upperrside brand straight; base of space 2 without a triangular orange patch. ;also seen on the underside.
FW spots/band relatively narrow.
HW all veins not dark-dusted in both sexes.

Female as in male, the veins not dark-dusted; twin bars at cellend rather short.

Telicota bambusae Smaller species , FW 15mm.
Male as in linna , brand straight; base of space 2 black.
FW spots/band relatively wider; outer margin of spots concave especially on the HW.

Female as in linna female, HW veins not dark dusted, but FW spots wider.
On upperside cellend twin bars relatively long (rather short in linna female.) & outer margins of spots more concave.
