This is a fine male Pelopidas agna agna.

Note the ground colour is an even brown without paleness, dark smudges or grey shading.
Here is another worn male by Federick.

Typical male P. mathias.
Uneven colour with paler areas & dark or grey shadings or smudges.

Thanks Dr Seow,
Here's the picture showing the spots on the forewing, will that help in better distinguishing between P.agna agna and P. mathias other than colours.

The eveness of the colour is quite a good guide.
Here is another male from Langkawi.(Correction: This is probably Borbo cinnara with tiny spots .)

P. mathias can often be quite grey.eg below.

If the FW markings are noticeable as here.

In P. agna male FW spot 2 & 3 are narrow rectangles sometimes much so.
A line drawn thru the two FW cell-spots may miss the brand or just touch the lower end.

In P. mathias male FW spots 2 & 3 are usually broad, but may be rectangular although broader than in agna or irregularly shaped.
A line drwan thru the two FW cellspots will cut the lower part of the brand.

Post 5.

Yes, these are all examples of male P. mathias.
The colour can appear quite pale ochreous to dark grey.

TL Seow : Cheers.
