Hi Dr. Seow,

could you advice? Is this T. besta?

The Telicota species are rather difficult.

This is a female, from the more elongate profile, & the abdominal ending.
The HW band has the veins lightly darkened.

This is either T. augias or T. besta female.

The underside of besta female is yellowish with a greenish tinge.
This is not easily seen in photos.
This cause the band to be better contrasted.

Pic. 1 Note hint of green in ground colour.

In augias the ground colour is more orangey.

The ground colour of the augias female is more orange & so the band is less contrasted.
Note FW spots 4 & 5 are more neatly rectangular.

It should be female T. augias.

Yes, this also looks good for a T. augias female. It is quite deep orange.
The lower components of the HW band have pointed margins like in Cephrenes, but is not that genus.
