Believe it or not, this is the first photo I've taken on Samui this year! Yes, it has been that bad.

Arhopala species, I am not sure if this is A. elopura or not, markings appear very faint. I think I have become a bit rusty through inactivity.

The markings are too well-contrasted for A. elopura.

It matches A. ariana well.

The weather has finally turned for the better, so I managed to get out today. Unfortunately, the visit to my favourite waterfall was shorthened due to taking a tumble, tripping over a tree root, and breaking my left collarbone for the sixth time in 3 1/2 years!

However, before that, I managed to take the photo below, which I originally thought was the rare (for Samui) Zographetus doxus. However, on returning home, I think this may be a Salanoemia species ( owing to the length of the apiculus), which would be a new find for Samui and neighbouring Islands. I think S. fuscicornis, but would appreciate confirmation or otherwise.

Glad you are back & mending.

Agreed it is S. fuscicornis. It has a single subapical hyaline spot (1 or 2 in fuscicornis. ).
S. sala only has some black subapical spots.

Thank you very much, as always. Unofficially, species 356 for Samui/KPN.
