This looks like Arhopala selta.
FW without spot 11 though spot 4 appeared to be shofted out.
FW band broad; termen somewhat rounde.

Post 2.

a. likely Isma damocles
FW large cellspot ;Hw spots large: abdomen banded.

b. Probably Matapa druna.
M. druna is deeper brown with HW cilia orange.
In photos M. aria is very confusingly similar.

Matapa druna with upper confirmation.
Note contrast between FW & HW cilia.

I use the same thread for a new trip in the same location, 19-20 and 21 May.
Fair weather, cloudy the first day, excellent the second and the third day. Wet forest, some rain few days before. Find something interesting the second and mostly the third day.
The well kept trail go for almost 4 km to the waterfall (beautiful but hard and not so interesting for us). So is almost a 7 km trek and with the new, heavy gear (Canon 5d plus Sigma 180mm and flash) is a bit harder.

In order of shots:

2. Dacalana vidura.
In D. vidura the HW orange patch does not obiterate the black striae above it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:DacalanaViduraAzyadaMUpUnAC1.jpg
In the very rare D. sinhala the black striae are obliterated in space 2 & 1b by the expanded orange patch.

3. Arhopala inornata . hair brown underside & lack of green metalmark.

4. A. antimuta. size & typical spotting.

5. A. major :HW spot 1b is fat but one arm is longer;upperside costal margin all brown ;blue in amphimuta ,( basal half blue in female.)

6. Arhopala vihara : HW spot 6 not reaching cellend bar; green patch in space 2 lined with a curve black bar.

1. Poritia philota. Ground colour greyish; FW discal band not irregular; HW large black triangular marginal spots 2 & 3.

2. Zeuxidia amethystus .HW eyespots large equal or greater than width of tornal lobe ; more distinct barring.
In Z. doubledayi. the ocelli (eyespots) are very small.

7. Allotinus davidis. The HW postdiscal spot in space 7 (a crescent here) is black-lined on the inner margin; ground colour pale buff.
This spot is not marked with black in substrigosus.

Thank you Dr. Seow, you make me a happy man!

I got 5+ species in just a hit!

For a total of +12.

Not bad!

Satisfied above all for the Poritia and the Allotinus!

That trail is a never-ending source of interesting butterflies!
