The genus Idmon is closely related to Iambrix.
Both are genera of small skippers with rounded wings.
They share a similar feature which readily helps to establish their identity.
The 3rd segment of the palpi are long & narrow, jutting upwards.
This image by James in 2008 is without doubt Idmon distanti.(Note the long palpi 3rd segnent.)
It looks like a Chestnut Bob (Iambrix salsala ) without its white spots.
