A friend shot this skipper taking nectar and wishes to know its species ID.

Looks like Quedara monteithi monteithi to me. Can anyone confirm?

Dr Seow, your assistance will be greatly appreciated. :)

Was there any information on the location of where it was shot?

Should be in the local nature reserve as the plant was supposed to be a rediscovered species in the Apocynaceae family.
I will double-check with the friend to be sure.

This one does tick all the right boxes for a male Q. monteithi.

Wings without spots although much abraded.
Dark grey body hairs & cilia.
Antennal long & club gradual without white patch.
Palpi 2nd segment around the eye large & bulging.
