Last night was a historic night for butterfly conservation in South Africa with the launch of the publication: Conservation Assessment of Butterflies of South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland: Red List and Atlas.
This publication assesses the conservation status of all 794 taxa of butterflies found in South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland. It is the culmination of the South African Butterfly Conservation (SABCA) project that ran from 2007 to 2011.
