This is Caltoris bromus.

A bit of the upper cellspot can be seen above the upper hindwing margin.
This means there are two cell-spots present.
Forewng & hindwing have the same brown tone.
There is a pale patch behind the antennal club.

This pic probably shows the right colour tone for this species.
Not sure of the sex, probably female.

The colouration was rather different here as stated in my earlier post.
This prompt me to take a 2nd look.
I believed this is another example of a female Caltoris cahira austeni.
The larger rounded FW spots & dark brown scalings on the HW indicate this.

This male by YiKai/Lemon ID'ed as C. bromus male had puzzled me because of its dark colour.
I think this is correctly the male C. cahira.

It is darker brown with little of the reddish tint; upper cell spot rounded. Spots are smaller here but is normal variation in the male.
On the hindwing there are darker chocolate scalings, in particular the upper space 6 & 7 are noticeably darkened.
This is also clearly seen in both the females by Cher Hern & Federick.

(Note, wear & loss of scales would otherwise cause fading & a greyish appearance.)

A male cahira from Taiwan for comparison.

PS. Another suspect female cahira. Note similar darkening of HW space 6 & 7.
