Dr. Seow,

is this Caltoris philippina? The forewing is folded down so the excavated edge can't be seen? only managed one shot before it flew away.

i posted this shot before which looks similar to the one above, and you ID this for me as C. philippina.

I think it is the female of Caltoris malaya.

C. philippina differs in the forewing apex more pointed, the termen excavated, and the underside ochreous scalings more greenish.
(In photos the greenish tinge is often hard to see (WB setting) eg in Borbo cinnara.)

I must be getting blind!
The greenish hair on the head, & the hint of green on the hindwing scalings all point to this species.
C. malaya's colouration is closer to the Contiguous Swift P. lubricans.
