It is P. valeria.
P. anais have the cellend cross-veins also black as well.

That's an excellent shot in your first pic, LC. Rarely see these buggers resting like that. Even when feeding, they are moving rapidly. :cheers:

P. anais is a northern species common in Thailand. Here it is found in Kedawi & probably part of Perak by now.

Yes, P. anais is common here, with both female forms around.

I keep on checking all the males I see, just in case it may be P. valeria, but it would be at the top of its range here. It has been found in Krabi, not so far south from me, so I remain hopeful.

It appears that there is only a small area of overlap in their ranges, from N. Malaysia to southern peninsular Thailand.

That first photo is really good, Lc. They are lovely butterflies. Too bad that they so seldom land like this. Was it early in the morning and warming up for the day?

David, it was shot around 11am. I think I just got lucky. ;P
