The 3 lower submarginal spots of the forewing are slab-sided and the wingbase appeared slightly darkened, so the general appearance suggest N. beroe.
The criterion for beroe male in C&P4 is that the dark lines within the postdiscal band on the forewing are obsolete.(likely a variable trait.)
The wingbase is darkened but variably.
You can see the dark lines inside the postdiscal band are present.

Here is N. beroe male with the dark lines inside the postdiscal band obsolete.
The wingbase is not that obviously darkened.
One feature which may be helpful is that the costa (upper margin) of the hindwing is dark.

An example of a more typical male N. berenicee.
Note prominent dark lines inside forewing postdiscal band.
Hindwing base & costa not darkened.

Verdict: A N. berenice male variant.

Uncle Seow,
I don't quite get what you mean.

I referred to Mr Khew's butterfly bk but the beroes inside had both wings of the same colour. It was the berenice which had a darker hindwing, especially the costa.:hmmm:

So, I do not find the "dark hindwing" method very effective.

Well, Brian,
These group of butterflies are very variable & alike in their markings.
Lighting conditions & colour settings will also affect their colour on the pics.
I was referring to the examples shown in the links.
I could be wrong about the dark costa which is why I say may be helpful.
