Hi,
Grant (The Green Volunteer) and his team of volunteers are setting up the butterfly garden at PRP after NPark extended the planting ground and added a pond.
Grant, Donald and the team of volunteers from Macpherson Secondary School, Siglap Secondary School, etc. challenged the storm yesterday morning, all drenched :omg: , digged and planted many butterfly hostplants at the garden... salute
I missed it yesterday, but visited the garden this afternoon.
Some photos to share...

Nice reporting EC!!!

Salute to Grant and all the school volunteers!!

Have not met Grant for many years now, since the crazy days of pursuing marlin and sailfish in the South China sea in the 80's......

Ooh...haven't been there for the longest time. Is that a freshwater pond or seawater? Cos I think the ponds at the end is seawater from the canal and cannot support freshwater aquatics.

Nice, EC. It was great to see a shot of the garden caretaker as well. Looks like a Calotes versicolor.

Regards,

Thanks, David.
Yes it is Calotes versicolor, commonly called Changeable Lizard here. It adapts very well to human and can be spotted at the same spot most of the time... friendly fella, always ready to pose for photographers :bsmile:
