A record shot. Is this a Dark Cearulean (Jamides bochus nabonassar) ? Thanks for the help.

It is the Dark Cearulean.

Most likely a male , did you have a chance to view or record its upper?

Uncle Sunny, thanks for your confirmation that it is a Dark Cearulean. Unfortunately, this is the only shot I got but I can see the striking metallic blue when it flutters. The orange patch on the hindwing got me confused as it is different from the checklist or Khew's book. And perhaps this is a female due to the black borders ? Thanks. :cheers:

The abdominal tip indicates it is a female. Wing perspective is distorted.
All in the checklist are females.
Here is Khew's mating pair for comparison. Male on the left. Note the difference in forewing shape.
The marginal & submarginal white striae are heavily shaded & obscure in the male.
