An opportunistic shot of the upperside of a male Mottled Emigrant as it was courting the female that was trying to oviposit on the host plant Senna alata. The female, obviously, wasn't interested and in some other shots, it raised its abdomen in the usual Pieridae fashion that indicated it wasn't keen to mate. ;P

Lovely rare shot of the upperside, SK. I have not managed to get close to photographing one yet.

Thanks Les. A combination of pure luck and :shoot1: with the camera. But getting one shot of pristine male was worth spending a few more minutes sorting and deleting all the other sucky shots. ;P

A rare and good shot  .
I was trying to get an upperside shot under the hot sun but I had no clear chance at all

Thanks, Fed. There were quite a few males chasing the female around. I just leggo a series of shots. Just a lucky shot. These were shot at 1/4000s cos like you said, it was under the hot sun.

A very fancy looking butterfly in that silver robe and from the comments I read it's a rare photo, so congrats!
