This species of pitcher plant used to be prolific at certain barren outcrop at KRP, over the last 20-30 years these barren area had been planted with tree and the trees are growing taller and shutting out the sun for this species.

The species is trying hard to survive, climbing the tree to reach the sun , a few of them climbs as hight as 15 meters to reach the canopy top.

Here you really need a fireman's ladder if you wanna shoot them Pitcher Blue !:bsmile:

some shots of them today.

1. young plants on certain sun spot.

2. reaching for the tree,

3 most die off along the climb

4&5 A few fortunate one on top of the tree where they bloom and bear seedpods.
