As usual, wonderful photos, Nelson. I really like the shot of the leaf butterfly with partially opened wings. The colours of the puddling rajah were very nice. It is such a spectacular species.

David

I am curious about the following species. I had a look at the checklist, the site of Les and LC's site but don't see it or at least, I don't recognize it.

Hi David, I was going through the Borneo Butterfly book and the above does resemble Amnosia decora. Awaiting confirmation:)

Here's the open wing shot.

Nelson, a very nice shot of Delias henningia pandemia (female), indeed, ALL these shots have been excellent.

David, the reason you can not find the Amnosia decora on either mine, or LC's lists are that it has only once been found on the peninsular, c. 100 years ago, when a pair was supposedly found in Perak, even C&P4 does not show a picture of it! This record is still considered doubtful.

Thanks for the information, Nelson and Les. That Delias was certainly a beauty!

Wow, Danum! I am looking forward to the shots from that area. It is such a famous place among the birding community so I imagine that the butterflies must be excellent as well.

David
