    A huge but rather messy moth. 2" long i think.

    Very nice details shown on the moth's face. It looks like another insect altogether, perhaps the only sign that its a moth is the feathery antenna and the palps as shown in the picture.

    wonderful macro portraits, but no way of identifying this without seeing the whole moth!

    Yeah, i gotta find a convenient way of going below 1:1. It's so troublesome to switch lens in the field. Can't go below 1:1 with the MP-E65.

    aiyo so much bak sak... :P beard also never shave! Moths have bad grooming!
    Nice (and scary) photo though... I think moths look better from far away.
    Butterfly dogs don't like baths. They only like to puddle... in their own pee!
