    second one is a species in the genus Arctornis.

    This is a species rich group, with many species virtually identical on external adult morphology. Dis-section of the genitalia is the only way to determine the species of these white Arctornis species.

    Higher taxonomic placing is as follows:
    Noctuoidea, Noctuidae, Lymantriinae (tussock moths), Arctornithini.
