Default I'll Flash if you do!

Had a day off from Court on Wednesday, but I have only now managed to process the photos taken. It was an Arhopala day, including a new one, A. lurida (No. 303 ), with A. democritus also putting in an appearance and, shown below, Arhopala aida.

    A. aida is very similar to A. havilandi, which I showed recently, but the underside ground colour is much lighter, without any slate suffusion. Also, the upperside black marginal area is wider in A. aida.

At one point he was in shade, and I needed to use the flash. He appeared to take exception to this, and inadvertently gave me this rare open winged shot, but, as you can tell, I was not ready for it!

    Congratulation for 303, Les!
Great shots, esp #1 is sharp and nice.

    Cheers!

Work harder, Les. 333 is not impossible!

You have now exactly 29 days to celebrate your first anniversary on the island!!!

I guessed this one is Arhopala aida aida? Since BOT only listed A. aida aida, just wondering the other one A. aida ophir, is it unique at Mt. Ophir?
