    Default Blue Helen?

Saw this Papilo species flying at the side of a jungle road. Obviously it had been attacked earlier (by a bird?) with its wing tails now lost. My guess is that it is Blue Helen, although it is missing a few yellow spots on its undersides.

Thanks, Soon Chye. Checking the photos in the Bcircle checklist again, I agree that the upperside best matches those shown of Great Helen. The reason for my first ID suggestion of Blue Helen is that this specimen was much smaller than the Great Helen specimen I encountered before, and that some Blue Helen specimens do not have yellow spots on the hindwing underside too (according to C&P4).

The impression of a smaller size could be caused by the loss of the tornal and tailed portion of the wings on this specimen.
