After the pouring rain, managed to shoot this Plain Nawab which first opened its wings to give a view of its upperside (pic 1), and later closed its wings for a side profile (pic 2).

A rare capture of the upperside. I have not seen the upperside in the field yet.
Very nice 2nd shot.

First time seeing one open its wing!!
Do u have to shout :" Open Sesame"??
Beautiful shots!
Shows that even with the pouring rains out there, our hardworking Horace can still get rare shots.
must also add that the metering on the shot is very good

Nice!!!
Thanks, Federick, Sunny, Khew, Simon and Soon Chye for your encouraging comments. Sometimes hunting in different weather could spring surprises such as this Plain Nawab trying to sun itself after the cold morning, and thus exposing its uppersides, and the coolder temperature probably made it more cooperative than usual.
