    Default Green Moth

Thanks for Johnny (aka oldman) for spotting this well-camouflaged moth. It was very pristine and appeared to have just eclosed near the plant that it was clinging on to. Even when Johnny pointed it out to me, I didn't immediately see it, as it looked just like a young leaf on a vine.

Over to the moth experts for an ID. It's a medium sized specimen, about 50mm wingspan I'd estimate, and a very fat beige coloured hairy body. It also has a whitish hair brush at the posterior end of its abdomen. I could not really see any antennae.

    Thanks, Felix.

Looks similar, but knowing the number of lookalikes in trying to ID moths, I'll wait for Dr Kendrick for his opinion.

Here's the description of Trabala ganesha from Moths of Borneo. So we found a female!
