    Finally managed to get some sumatran sunbeam shots at the mangroves and there were plenty of them. But they are so darn difficult to shoot

    A suffused flash without flash:



    Unknown Orange UFO, hopefully the dof is enough for ID, pls help if possible







    this UFO is quite big, approx 2.5cm and gives a buzz sound(like bumble bee only softer) when it flew off. also, it's supposed to be more saturated orange than shown, experimented with adobe rgb.

    Congrats! Finally nailed the buggers. And you managed to shoot the upperside of the male as well.

    The skipper is probably a Telicota besta bina. The markings and the undersides are consistent with this species. But there are several lookalikes which are not easy to ID.

    thks Khew...no upperside shot of Telicota besta bina in the cxlist to compare so dare not confirm.
