    Default Outing on 26 Nov

Went to an area in the NE. Apart from all four Pansy, Bush Brown, Common Rings, some brown and orange skippers, other butts (those that I am sure) spotted are :

    1. Chilasa clytia clytia (Common Mime)
    2. Papilio demoleus malayanus (Lime Butterfly)
    3. Papilio polytes romulus (Common Mormon)
    4. Graphium sarpedon luctatius (Common Bluebottle)
    5. Delias hyparete metarete (Painted Jezebel)
    6. Leptosia nina malayana (Psyche)
    7. Appias libythea olferna (Striped Albatross)
    8. Catopsilia pomona pomona (Lemon Emigrant)
    9. Eurema hecabe contubernalis (Common Grass Yellow)
    10. Spindasis syama terana (Club Silverline)
    11. Phaedyma columella singa (Short Banded Sailor)
    12. Doleschallia bisaltide australis (Autumn Leaf)

    Here are some shots.
    1. Blue Pansy

    2.Peacock Pansy

3(a). Grey Pansy - not cooperative at all. Like to stay high up. Need Sunny's height to get good shots.

    3(b)

    4. UFO - larger than Lesser Dart and markings look different.

Good captures of the grey pansy.
    I like 3(b) in particular.

From the shadows of the butts, you must have worked hard under the mid-day sun too.

Ya, it was quite hot before noon. After that the weather turned cloudy.
The background of 3(b) is the sky.

We had nice blue skies yesterday. Today's weather turned gloomy quite quickly.

No shots from your outing at TBHP yesterday?

Ha ha, I took a wrong bus from NUS, ended up at Clementi instead of Pasir Panjang. So decided to go to MNT because there is a direct semi-express bus.
Anyway, very quiet there. It seems that our forest these days is very low in butts activities.
