    Default Colourful Cat @ USR

    Richard spotted this cat, which was about 5cm long and fat. When disturbed, it fell to the ground, and after we placed it on a leaf it fell off again, but this time it did a Spiderman and spun a thread to prevent itself from falling to the ground. Then it climbed up and stayed still on the leaf. I suppose it's more of a moth cat. Nice colours though. Reminds me of some colourful patterns on a batik shirt.

    It's just been confirmed that this is the caterpillar of the moth Lyssa zampa, which was very common some time in the middle of the year. This is the grey tailed moth which was found all over Singapore and Malaysia. Now we know what the caterpillar looks like...
