    Tanaecia godartii.
    HW blue band narrow, at the tornus just a bit greater than 1/3 of the HW width.
    Blue band inner margins rather smooth & almost always aligned well at rest.

    Tanaecia iapis.
    HW blue band much broader than 1/3 of HW & of uniform width.
    Inner margins irregularly incised & often do not align well at rest.

    Tanaecia flora.
    HW blue band broader than 1/3 of HW at tornus. Band noticeably tapers upwards.
    Inner margin smoother than in iapis & usually aligned at rest.
    Fw apex often slightly falcate in the male.
